Introducing our Peer Champions
Back
Say hello to our new Peer Champion team
This year we have an all new student team, their role is to provide support and a listening ear to any students who may need it.
The Peer Champions are a mix of Year 9 and 10 students who care about their fellow students and want to help every student feel welcome, safe and heard.
Sixteen students completed their Peer Champion training as part of the process. This means that they will be ambassadors to support students in our school community with having positive mental health. Topics included: the function of the brain and how this affects our mood; what to do if someone is displaying negative mental health; boundaries and self care; keeping your mind mentally fit; where to signpost and so much more.
Students are really looking forward to putting this training into action!
Clarion students are welcome to reach out to any of our Peer Champions for space to talk, some quiet time or just an opportunity to play games!
