This term our Year 7 students visited Middlesex University for an immersive all-day experience of university life.

The day featured an engaging campus tour where the Year 7s toured the captivating Hendon campus, led by student ambassador tour guides. They also took part in a hands-on LEGO workshop - learning  "what is a university?" and "how is a university different from school?" through building and presenting their own university designs.

After this they discovered what courses are on offer for students at university, as well as their achievements and inventions beyond graduation, gaining priceless insight to life beyond secondary school and the exciting options open to them. The students were fortunate to visit at the end of the university term, as there were a number of final year design projects on display in the Arts and Design building. Shown above is a set design piece made by hand, just one of a number of incredible pieces our students enjoyed.
