Our Clarion Hall was transformed into a bustling hub of discovery this term as we hosted our annual British Science Week Fair. In a fantastic display of peer-to-peer learning, our students took the lead by designing and operating ten interactive stations specifically to inspire visiting primary school students with the wonders of STEM.

We were extremely happy to welcome students from All Saints Primary, Childs Hill Primary, Parkfield Primary and Wessex Gardens Primary schools on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of March.

The fair offered a hands-on journey through the natural and physical worlds, ranging from the biological mysteries of Dissection and Ecosystems to the mechanical marvels of Machines. Engineering skills were put to the ultimate test at the Paper Aeroplane and Build Something That Floats challenges, where young guests experimented with aerodynamics and buoyancy.

The "wow" factor was especially high at our chemistry and physics booths. Students got their hands messy exploring Non-Newtonian Materials that defy the standard rules of liquids, while others marvelled at the colourful layers of Density Towers, the intricate patterns of Chromatography, and the adaptive logic behind the Evolution of Beaks. Between the experiments, our student guests even stopped by the Science Photo Booth to capture the smiles of a new generation of innovators. It was a brilliant day that proved the best way to understand science is to get stuck in and try it yourself.
